Map percentage is the percentage awarded to the current teamTeam score is the score the current team achieved on the current mapMAX score is the highest score achieved for the current mapFinal score = SUM(Map percentage), i.e. the sum of each map's Map percentage. The primary goal of the Group stage draw is to ensure that each group is balanced, preventing teams with similar qualifier seeds from being placed together. This is achieved by separating both Challenger and Contender groups into four seeding pots based on their performance in the Qualifier stage, as follows:
Challengers (seeds 9–24)
Contenders (seeds 25–40)
Once the pots are established, the draw process will be conducted live on stream. Four Groups will be formed for each category – 1, 2, 3, 4 for Challengers, and 5, 6, 7, 8 for Contenders, respectively. The process is as follows:
The draft starts with the Challengers teams:
The same process is repeated for Contenders, now Groups 5–8. There will be 8 groups at the end of the draw process.
Afterwards, all groups are seeded based on the average of their Qualifiers %MAX results, with the highest average %MAX group being called "Group A", the second highest being "Group B", and so on, until the lowest average %MAX "Group H".
All advancing teams will be assigned new seeds based on the following factors:
Within a group:
PD = map wins - map losses)Between groups:
Groups are ordered by descending average %MAX results from the Qualifiers stage. Higher-seeded groups are considered stronger.
For the Challenger groups, this means that seeds 1–4 for the bracket stage are composed of the #1 finishers from Groups A through D, with 5–8 being the #2 of each group, respectively. Seeds 9-12 will be composed of the #3 finishers of each group. Finally, seeds 13-16 will be composed of the #4 finishers of each group.
For the Contender groups, seeds 9–12 are composed of the #1 finishers from Groups E through F, with 13-16 being the #2 of each group, respectively. The #3 and #4 finishers from each group are eliminated from the competition
For example, if the #1 seeded teams from both Group A and B go 3-0 with a +15 point differential (3 matches won 5-0), Group A's #1 will be the higher seed.
In the Group Stage, a team's goal is to place as high as possible in their group. Advancement is determined as follows:
